Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), also known as Fetal Calf Serum (FCS), is the most widely used growth supplement for cell culture media due to its high content of embryonic growth-promoting factors. Thawing
We recommend thawing the serum at 2-8oC. However, if necessary, you may thaw the serum at room temperature. Swirl the bottles gently to mix the serum during the thawing process.
